Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant - Psychiatry (Per Diem) - Greenport, NY (#T10025)

Previous experience in a Nursing Assistant role in a hospital, nursing home, or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Nurse Assistant. Under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), the Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Nursing Assistant supports patients in tasks they are unable to manage independently. These may include mobilization, bathing, eating, and communication.

Responsibilities of the Nursing Assistant:

• Collect specimens, draw blood, obtain blood glucose levels, and perform EKGs.
• Take vital signs and record intake/output data.
• Conduct constant observation and proactive safety rounds.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide meaningful engagement.
• Maintain safe, clean, and therapeutic environments.
• Respond to patient call bells and assist with property and environment searches.
• Order, maintain, and store supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
