Summary

About Us:
Our child care center, located on the Magnolia Montessori For All campus, is a nurturing, Spanish-immersion community dedicated to supporting each child’s natural curiosity, independence, and love of learning. Our toddler classroom serves 17 children with a small adult-to-child ratio, guided by a Lead Guide and an additional Assistant Guide to ensure every child receives individualized attention and care.

Duties

Position Summary:
We are seeking a warm, patient, and reliable Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our Spanish-immersion team. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), passionate about early childhood education, and eager to create a joyful and engaging environment for our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Guide and Assistant Guide in maintaining a calm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment.
  • Engage with children in both Spanish and English, encouraging language development through songs, stories, and meaningful conversation.
  • Assist with daily routines such as snack, toileting, and transitions with kindness and consistency.
  • Help prepare and maintain classroom materials and activities that promote independence and exploration.
  • Observe and document children’s growth and interests to support individualized learning.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, colleagues, and families.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required).
  • Experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting preferred.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and genuine love for young children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a Montessori or child-centered environment.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for childcare staff.
