Get to Know Your Team:

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities:

The Transporter will perform a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients, specimens, and equipment. They will greet as well as assist patients and visitors at hospitals and clinics as directed.
Transport patients from their rooms to various locations.
Retrieve the proper equipment needed for the transport of patients.
Complete daily paperwork documenting activity.
Maintain a safe, healthy working environment.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families by listening to them and showing compassion.
Perform all other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Physically able to transport patients by wheelchairs, stretchers, and/or beds
Ability to work independently utilizing a beeper
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting are required (50 lbs or more)

Preferred Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
