Position Overview

As a Cook at Zaxby’s, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking our delicious menu items to order, ensuring that food quality and safety standards are met. You’ll work with a team to keep the kitchen organized, maintain food inventory, and provide a great experience for our guests.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare & Cook Food: Follow Zaxby’s standards to ensure all food items are prepared to perfection.
• Food Safety: Ensure food is handled according to safety regulations, keeping everything sanitary and fresh.
• Operate Kitchen Equipment: Safely use kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and knives.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your workspace and kitchen area clean and organized throughout your shift.
• Support the Team: Assist with front-of-house tasks as needed and help out your teammates to ensure a smooth operation.
• Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing inventory deliveries.
• Stay Prepared: Keep your station stocked and ready for peak hours, making sure everything is fresh and accessible.

What We’re Looking For:

• Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older.
• Availability: Ability to work 16-40 hours per week. Availability to work opening and closing shifts preferred.
• Positive Attitude: A passion for serving delicious food and creating great experiences for our guests.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: You should be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. You’ll also be standing, walking, and using your hands frequently during your shift.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work in a hot and cold environment, handling food allergens.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Ability to use restaurant equipment safely, including fryers, knives, and grills.
