Description Our team is seeking talented Seasonal Tax Preparers to support our clients during the busy tax season. This contract role is ideal for professionals with experience in individual and/or business tax return preparation. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will work closely with clients, ensure compliance with current tax regulations, and deliver efficient, accurate filing services. Responsibilities: + Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and/or small businesses during the tax season. + Review financial records, statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy of tax filings. + Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on relevant credits and deductions. + Communicate effectively with clients to address documentation needs, answer tax-related questions, and resolve discrepancies. + Meet all deadlines and maintain thorough records to ensure compliance with regulations. + Monitor updates in tax law and apply changes while preparing returns. + Maintain confidentiality and handle client data with care. Requirements Qualifications: + 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or related accounting role. + Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, TurboTax, or similar). + Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations. + Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. + Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
