PERMANENT JOB

LOCATION: NYC / ON SITE

CISCO, LAN / WAN, WINDOWS SERVER, CHECKPOINT, ROUTERS AND SWITCHES

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility for working with network team in the implementation, management, and troubleshooting of the company computer networks. Configuring and maintaining local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet connections, and other data communication systems. Managing network security, optimal performance, and network availability.

Network Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, servers) including network hardware redundancy
• Ongoing monitoring of network traffic performance to identify potential issues (e.g., bottleneck, latency), forecast network capacity and implement necessary hardware or software upgrades.
• Manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP configuration.

Network Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Provide technical support for users experiencing network-related problems.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Stay informed of emerging network technologies and ensure network systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, and configurations.

Security Administration:

• Under CISO guidance, implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus software. Monitor and respond to security breaches, network vulnerabilities and threats. Assist with matters related to security audits and penetration testing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CCNP, or similar.

Experience/Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in network administration and support of  Routers, Switches and  Firewall.
• Proficiency with Network protocols and  Cisco networking equipment, IronPort and  CheckPoint
• Experience with network and systems monitoring tools (e.g.,  WhatsUpGold, Wireshark ).
• Very good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Pluses:

• Ability to automate network tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Familiarity with Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with Load Balancer (e.g., F5)
