Our bustling general dental office is seeking an exceptional individual to join our high-tech and gentle team. Having served the Park Rapids community for over 13 years, we are dedicated to providing a calm and welcoming atmosphere where each patient feels truly cared for.

In this full-time position, you will spend quality time with each patient, providing comprehensive dental hygiene care while fostering a warm relationship that encourages ongoing visits. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and an excellent communicator, with a passion for delivering top-notch patient care. We are open to applicants with one year of experience or new graduates from accredited dental hygiene programs.

Key responsibilities include performing dental cleanings,

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cleaning plaque, calcareous deposits, and stains of teeth and beneath gum borders with dental equipment. Palpation of lymph nodes under patients’ chins for soreness or swelling so doctors can look for signs of mouth cancer
• Making a note of and evaluating the patient’s medical history 
• Recording dental decay and disease for dentists to diagnose and treat them
• Sharpening and sterilizing dental instruments 
• Working to improve patient oral health and promoting preventative dental treatment
• Collaborating with dentist for treatment
• Maintaining a patient dental hygiene regimen
• administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide,
• conducting digital X-rays, and using intraoral cameras to educate patients about their oral health.
• Familiarity with Curve DMS, Carestream, DEXIS, and CBCT is preferred, as is a commitment to staying updated with the latest in dental technology and techniques.

Our office operates with a solo doctor model and accepts a variety of insurance plans, including PPOs, ensuring we cater to a diverse range of patients. We take pride in seeing patients of all ages and look forward to welcoming a hygienist who shares our commitment to excellence in healthcare.

We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $45 to $50, with an attractive benefits package that includes six paid national holidays, a 401(k) plan, dental care for you and your family, paid time off, a uniform allowance, and continuous education opportunities. Dental Hygienist Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in hygiene from a recognized institution is required
• Hygiene license issued by the state.
• CPR certification is current
• Must be able to give local anesthetics and use an x-ray machine
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
• Must be well-versed in oral hygiene and dental health topics.
