This dual-role position plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Position Summary

The Housekeeper/Laundry Aide is responsible for performing a combination of housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a sanitary, organized, and pleasant environment throughout the facility. This includes cleaning resident rooms and common areas, as well as handling the washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and personal laundry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Housekeeping Duties:
  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to facility standards
  • Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and empty trash and recycling bins
  • Replenish soap, paper products, and other supplies in resident rooms and bathrooms
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to prevent the spread of illness
• Laundry Duties:
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold facility linens and residents' personal clothing
  • Label and return clothing to proper rooms in a timely and organized manner
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Keep laundry room clean, stocked, and organized

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English but Spanish speaking okay
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Education &  Experience

• Prior experience in housekeeping and/or laundry services in a healthcare setting preferred
