Web Developer
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Chicago-based organization)
Position Type: W-2 Employee (Grant-Funded)
Time Commitment: Part-time (hours aligned with grant scope)
Compensation: Grant-funded; rate commensurate with experience
Position Overview
HQ2 is seeking a Web Developer to design, maintain, and enhance its public-facing website and web-based tools supporting telehealth access, community education, prevention messaging, and program engagement. This role ensures that digital content is accessible, secure, mobile-responsive, and aligned with grant-funded program goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, update, and maintain HQ2’s website and related web assets
· Support telehealth access points, online forms, and client-facing portals
· Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility across devices
· Collaborate with program, technology, and compliance staff on content updates
· Implement basic security and privacy best practices for web-based tools
Minimum Qualifications
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· At least 2 years of experience in web development or website management
· Experience with common web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms)
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting healthcare, nonprofit, or grant-funded organizations
· Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and mobile-first design
