Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Substation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges. **Your Impact** - Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. - Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. - The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions. - The position entails drafting and design opportunities on substation projects that include physical and civil layout drawings as well as schematics and wiring diagrams. - The successful candidate will be responsible for learning, understanding, and implementing CAD knowledge; learning client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards and expectations; being responsible for knowing and following POWER's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues; and seeking guidance from those with more experience **Who You Are** **Required Qualifications** - Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. - Associates/technical degree in an accredited drafting program, or sufficient industry experience - AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience - Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members - Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Preferred Qualifications** - Drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment - Experience with a 3D CAD system - Knowledge of substation electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings - Experience working with scaled drawings - Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems a plus - Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel - Experience with File Management Systems a plus - Strong background in mathematics - Reliable, detail-oriented self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks **Disclaimer:** - Relocation assistance is not available for this position. **WSP Benefits:** WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
