Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Entry-Level Drafter for a Fluid Control Manufacturing Company located in Westbrook, CT. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or trade school experience, with a good background utilizing SolidWorks and GD&T Knowledge. This candidate will support the Engineering Systems team by producing detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software such as SolidWorks for restricted valves. The Drafter will play a key role in the design and development processes, applying mechanical knowledge and adhering to industry standards including GD&T principles. Key Responsibilities - Create fully defined & constrained 3D models from existing 2D drawings/views. - Create accurate and neatly presented 2D drawings with minimal errors/typos. - Calculate dimensions and standard allowances in accordance with established procedures and specifications. - The ability to accurately apply GD&T and multi-part tolerance stack-ups is a plus. - Follow work instructions/procedures, interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
