We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team.
As a Dental Hygienist at [Your Dental Practice Name], you will play a critical role in our patients’ oral health care. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting the overall functionality of the practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for patient care.
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Assess and record patients' medical histories and oral health conditions.
- Conduct periodontal assessments and treatments based on patients’ needs.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene practices, nutritional guidelines, and preventive dental care.
- Assist dentists during examinations and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment provided in the electronic health record system.
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
**Qualifications:**
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- State licensure to practice dental hygiene (or eligibility to obtain).
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
- Excellent communication and patient management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in a dental practice setting.
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish, etc.) is a valued asset.
