Job Description

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Weather

FOX Weather is a 24/7 ad-supported streaming service operated by FOX News Media. Launched in October 2021, the platform builds upon FOX News Channel’s expansive newsgathering units & FOX Television Stations’ added resources with a combined 120 meteorologists for a comprehensive suite of weather products featuring local, regional and national reporting, in addition to live programming. Utilizing multiple radar systems, including an immersive mobile 3D radar, and more than 100,000 HD cameras located around the country, the service offers users an innovative approach to forecasting, including coverage surrounding all weather patterns, from immediate to long-term. FOX Weather is available via foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app on IOS and Android devices, as well as Tubi, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, through FOX’s Connected TV Apps.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Weather is seeking a dynamic Content Producer/Editor to create high-impact weather coverage and brand-integrated content across live studio shows, pre-produced original longform shows, digital platforms, and social channels. You’ll develop both scripted and unscripted segments, edit compelling packages and shows, and produce seamless integrations with brand partners that align with FOX Weather’s mission and tone.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce and edit story packages and longform shows from concept through delivery—covering both scripted and unscripted content.

  • Collaborate with meteorologists, producers, and digital teams to craft strong visual narratives.

  • Develop and manage brand-integration segments: write briefs, coordinate with partners, and deliver

  • Polished sponsor content that fits organically within programming.

  • Edit and version content for multiple platforms, including broadcast, app / OTT (over-the-top), website, and social (short form / vertical).

  • Write precise, clear scripts and ensure all content meets FOX Weather’s editorial and visual standards.

  • Track performance metrics such as completion rates and engagement, refining future edits accordingly.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years producing and editing in live, news, weather, or digital video environments.

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop preferred.

  • Strong storytelling, scriptwriting, and visual editing skills with an eye for pacing and clarity.

  • Experience producing and editing branded or sponsored content.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and during breaking weather events.

  • A genuine passion for weather storytelling and impactful visual communication.

  • On-time delivery of broadcast-quality segments requiring no revisions.

  • Noticeable growth in audience engagement and viewership retention across platforms.

  • Smooth integration of branded content that enhances rather than interrupts viewer experience.
