Azure DevOps Engineer

Position Summary
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our consultancy delivery team supporting a Fortune 50 enterprise client. This role focuses on designing, automating, and optimizing Azure-based environments to enable secure, scalable, and efficient DevOps pipelines. You will collaborate with developers, architects, and enterprise stakeholders to streamline delivery, enhance automation, and align DevOps practices with business objectives.
This is a long-term role delivering strategic transformation initiatives across the enterprise IT environment. While Generative AI (GenAI) exposure is a plus, the core focus is Azure Cloud and DevOps engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep, and JSON .
Automate provisioning and configuration with PowerShell and Azure Automation .
Manage and optimize Azure environments for scalability, security, and performance .
Support containerization and orchestration with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Docker .
Integrate and manage version control, release management, and artifact repositories within Azure DevOps .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable cloud-native best practices .
Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.
Engage with enterprise stakeholders to ensure DevOps practices align with business objectives and governance .
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and the Azure DevOps ecosystem (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).
Proficiency in ARM templates, PowerShell, JSON , and automation scripting.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep .
Proven background in CI/CD automation, release management, and pipeline optimization .
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an enterprise environment.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with GitHub Actions for automation and CI/CD workflows.
Expertise with AKS, Docker, and Kubernetes-related workloads .
Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT Enterprise) for code generation, testing, and automation.
Familiarity with LLM Ops, AI observability, prompt engineering , or AI-powered DevOps enhancements .
